Baby Steps Added For Improved Usability

I just finished adding a little image to the "get started" and "search pages" to help people use the site more easily. As you can see in the screenshot below, each step of the search and compare process is depicted in each step image. I just slapped together the design in paint and hope to make it look nicer in the future.



Another feature I'm thinking of adding are little javascript help pop up balloons. It would be a good excuse to use that scriptaculous library and might actually help people. I'll have to do some A B testing to see if it actually helps. All in all, I'm having a lot more fun than I thought I would making the site more user friendly. It's something I never really cared about in the past, but now that I'm A B testing designs, I can actually quantify how effective or ineffective a particular design is.
