3-16-2011....I have had good luck with Zecco trading for some time now. I usually get a better price when I sell. I also use Scottrade and TDAmeritrade. I liked the 10 free trades per month with Zecco, but that is ending at the end of March. I would use Scottrades graphs and Ameritrades Level II quotes, (because those are extras on Zecco) and make my trades on Zecco. Trade executions were very fast. I am now considering dropping them and going to either BOA (Merrill) or Well Fargo for the free trades. I average about 10 to 20 trades a month. I don't like the way that Zecco upgrades your account balances during the day but that is getting better. Customer service has always been good. Good Luck to All.

I have been trading with TD Ameritrade for over 10 years now. They have been very good at answering any questions I have had throughout the years. They recently have given me Thinkorswim at no additional cost. You can search for many different stocks to purchase very quickly using the criteria you select. There charts are excellent if you wish to follow moving averages (MACD), bollinger bands, and many others. You can use candlesticks and other charting options. There is so much to choose from in Thinkorswim that it can become overwhelming. I like the old saying "keep it simple stupid" and it works for me. You might like all the technical analysis available but it will take awhile to figure it out. TD Ameritrade also offers several online free classes and is willing to help the newcomer learn. They have several trading options available for one trade such as if, then. Meaning if one thing happens in a trade it triggers another trade. You can choose a stop that follows your equity and many other possibilities. Level II quotes are included and I consider them very helpful. If the $9.99 trading price is good for you then you should consider going with them. Hopefully I have been clear and answered some questions about TD Ameritrade. Good Luck Trading!

I have been trading with Scottrade for several years. They seem slow to answer the phone when you have a question. I use there old charting system which is ending in about 35 days. I have become accustomed to it and don't look forward to the change, but it should be for the better. I am limited to watching 20 stocks at a time and only 4 charts with their current system and you can have more on your screen with the new one. I think it was 5 charts maximum. You can't have level ll quotes unless you carry a $25,000 minimum and then you are also able to get their Scottrade Elite. I don't usually get a better price when selling as compared to Zecco where I almost always do better. A few years ago I purchased a stock (not a round lot) and ended up buying one share. I did not have the AON (all or nothing) box checked and learned my lesson on that one. I ended up paying quite a bit more for the stock and also another $7.00 for the trade. The trades have sometimes gone through very rapidly and at other times it seems to take forever. I don't know if it was because of high volume or a problem from them. I guess I would say they are about average and would not be afraid to trade with them. Good Luck Trading!
